IMES researchers at the Sustainability week

IMES researchers are actively involved in the Sustainability Week in Lund, which is taking place 8-13 April 2019.

 

STEPS project is organizing an event on the future of plastics, which will be moderated by Ellen Palm:

- Alexandra Nikoleris is involved in several events during the week – discussions on the topics of train travel, fiction and art in relation to sustainability issues, as well as the 'Carbon ruins' exhibition and guided tours of it. See the schedule and more information below:

 

Monday:

13.30-15 at Magle Konserthus

Discussion (in Swedish) on train travel, for leisure and for work. Alexandra Nikoleris will talk about travelling by train as a researcher.

Grand opening of the exhibition 'Carbon Ruins'.

Wednesday:

18.00 at the public library (in Swedish)

Alexandra Nikoleris will discuss how fiction can make us reflect on and care about climate change together with author Mats Strandberg.

Thursday:

Not officially part of Sustainability week but still relevant is the afternoon seminar 'Imagining Environmental Futures through Art, Speculative Design and Storytelling.' Alexandra Nikoleris participate in the panel discussion together with Åsa Stål, Kristina Lindström and Peter Christoff. More information and link to sign up for the seminar is found here:
