About us
The Division of Environmental and Energy Systems Studies was established in the late eighties, after two decades of activity as the Environmental Studies Program at Lund University. Today, our group, consisting of about 25 persons, is organised under the Department of Technology and Society.
Research and teaching at IMES typically reaches across individual disciplines. Our teachers and researchers come from various faculties and disciplines. Most have a technical undergraduate degree but there are also researchers and teachers from agronomy, business and economics, humanities, science, sociology and political science.
