IMES researchers Stefan Lechtenböhmer, Lars J. Nilsson and Max Åhman have together with Joeri Wesseling, Ernst Worrel and Lars Coenen, published the article The transition of energy intensive processing industries towards deep decarbonization: Characteristics and implications for future research.

The article deals with the industrial sectors of iron and steel, aluminum, chemicals, cement, glass, and paper and pulp, and their accelerated transition towards decarbonisation in order to meet 2050 targets for greenhouse gas emissions.
